Hello! I’m Ally

I am a surface pattern designer, children’s book illustrator, and dreamer

I create playful, colorful, and whimsical seamless patterns that can be used on apparel, home decor, stationary, interiors, wallpaper, and more!

I create based off of my own life experiences, places I have explored, and to overall spread positivity. My art is a reflection of my heart, and I hope you can envision these patterns on a project you are hoping to bring to life. I hope to collaborate with you and create something beautiful to share with the world!

I grew up with a love for art, however I did not take the traditional route and go to college for art. I began my career after college working with children as a pediatric Occupational Therapist, where I combined art and science to help families reach their goals and dreams. It was throughout my time working as a therapist that I found the world of surface pattern design and fell in love. It filled my heart with so much joy to help my families reach their goals, however I realized I needed to do this for myself as well. I took a step back from being a therapist to chase my dreams of becoming a surface pattern designer and children’s book illustrator, and Sunny Thoughts Studio was born!
